The Journey
The NAYA initiative emerged in 2007 when a group of proactive individuals, both young men and women, who were actively involved in community work within Zarqa Governorate, came together. Their primary objective was to make a positive impact on community development by enhancing and refining the outcomes of youth-focused efforts. Over the years, they have successfully organized numerous events and activities, leveraging the collective efforts of youth and collaborating with various societal stakeholders. Later on, the organisation was officially registered as a non-profit company in the Jordanian Ministry of Industry and Trade on February 23, 2015, operating under the name "NAYA for Training and Community Development" with a reference number "666".

Main Pillars
Fostering social cohesion:
Community cohesion is a conceptual framework that attempts to measure and valuate the social relationships within a community. It relies on criteria such as: the presence of a shared vision, inclusion of those with diverse backgrounds, equality and justice, and supportive relationships between individuals.
Strengthening community resilience:
Community resilience is the sustained ability of a community to use available and shared resources to respond to, withstand, and recover from adverse situations. We can see the resilience in different scales, such as water shortage in a small town, and a pandemic!
Improving community wellbeing:
Community wellbeing is the combination of social, economic, environmental, cultural, and political conditions identified by individuals and their communities as essential for them to flourish and fulfil their potential.
